	SOLID paints consist of two coats of high pigment paint. A primer coat is first applied to seal the surface. After sanding the surface, a second paint coat is applied to provide maximum build and paint coverage. Clear catalyzed varnish is then used to seal the paint to provide years of durability. Glaze accents are available on most door styles and on a select group of painted finishes to provide a distinctive look.
	OPAQUE paints provide a multi-toned, more professional appearance on solid painted surfaces. A primer and second coat solid paint application is followed by a hand-applied highlighting stain. This stain becomes more pronounced in the hang-up areas of doors, providing a multi-colored “softening” alternative to the sometimes overwhelming single color dominance that can be associated with some paint schemes.
Rub-thru	ANTIQUE paints combine the multi-color appearance of the solid and opaque paints with some amount of physical distressing to the wood surfaces. Sometimes a light distressing touch (as seen on the rub-thru products) is appropriate; while other schemes might require a slightly heavier process (the aged products). Either process provides an old-world, antiqued, alternative to the more polished painted products of today’s finishes
